This documentary was a group project for my junior year of high school in 2021. What originally was a ghost investigation, ended up as an interesting documentary into the stories of the people and town of Metamora, Indiana. I worked with 3 other guys, Allen Sizemore, J.P. Susantio and Michael Kane who helped to produce the final product. With that, I wrote the voice over, did research, and edited the project together.
This project is a good testament to my ability of persistence. It's not often a random high school kid throws a 30 minute documentary together as a final project. And this project had many issues with COVID, finding a proper story, and group participation. In the end, the product may not be my best work, but still stands tall in what I can do as a filmmaker.
This film won two awards, one award for Non-fiction Long form at the Indiana Association of School Broadcaster's competition and one at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
