A Hymn was a music video project I did for my junior year of high school in 2021. This project was my first real time taking a stab at production, as I designed a set, planned shots and spent my own money. I made this entire video solo, using a mix of my own equipment and the schools.
With this video, it was my goal to portray the reality of domestic violence. That domestic violence rarely ends in a happy story. When you watch this video, I wanted people to be disturbed by how graphic and morbid it is. Because that's how these situation's are, graphic, morbid, and evil.
This film won a regional award at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and was selected at Meadow Motion film festival at Indiana University, Bloomington.
